I don’t know about you all but for me the seasons are marked by my silly little addictions. (Spring is tulips and drawing on the back patio; Summer is peach tea or even better sweet tea and stitcheries; Winter is snowmen...absolutely love 'em!) Fall is my pumpkin addiction season. I absolutely love Pumpkin Spice Lattes (as previously mentioned), add to that pumpkin scones, pumpkin pie, pumpkins to decorate with, pumpkin colored wool and hand-dyed threads for stitchery, appliqué, & drooling over…you get the idea. (My mom has a recipe for pumpkin pancakes that she swears by but I haven't tried that one yet...will get back to you on it later...)
Well, as of this morning I now have those little pumpkins pictured at the top added to my collection courtesy of Michaels $1 stamp bins. Aren’t they cute??? Why do I have these (when I am not a scrap-booker…unless abducted which hasn’t been a problem lately)? Because they are pumpkins AND cute AND only a dollar each. This girl can never have too many pumpkins...at least I don't think I can.
Any-hoo, for those of you looking for some really great pumpkin projects with needle and thread check out these from Plumcute Designs™. All three of the projects shown are quick and great as take-along's when you travel and need something to keep your hands busy and your creative juices flowing...Anyone with a beginners skill-level/experience in sewing or embroidery can do these so that makes them great for gifts too!
Okay, Okay, Okay...enough shameless self promotion (for now)...So, what wonderful/silly seasonal addictions will you be carried away by today? Will you be brave enough to declare it publicly in Internet world for all to see and know about you? I proudly and publicly declare myself an official pumpkin addict!
Blessings for today...
(1) Simple pumpkin pleasures
(2) Taking my kid-lets to the pumpkin patch to pick out their very own pumpkins (aka projecting my addiction onto others, namely small & innocent children)
(3) Pumpkin addictions!
