Rain, cold enough for sweaters, wind, and yuck. This is NOT typical California. I don't even know how to plan for days like we're having. Yesterday I started out in bermuda shorts, added a sweatshirt about mid-day, and finally gave in to jeans in the late afternoon. I had to cuddle up and take a nap sometime around 2:30 or 3:00 on the couch under a pile of blankets with kids movies on in the background because that is what this crazy weather demanded. Can somebody pretty please with sunshine on top explain to me how this is the end of May? Oh, and I checked the week forcast...rain on Thursday. For the love of Pete. Guess I will have to stitch all day & take a nap on my couch under a pile of blankets because I am sure that is what the weather will demand.
Blessings... rain in May? naps mid-day...wont argue with that one becoming adept at random wardrobe changes
I heisted this photo from here (thank you Pam & Elizabeth) so I could share it with all of you...
In the very top right corner is a little piece of my handiwork. It's a Christmas stitchery using fabrics from the new line by the very talented Monica . It will be available on the Lecien USA website as a freebie pattern when they launch that site later this year. Hope you like it...I sure had fun stitching it!
Blessings fun fabrics from talented designers pictures from Market professionals stitching for Christmas
Being Monday morning and all I thought I'd get right on drawing a winner for the new pattern as my first order of business. Very fun! After that it's running on the treadmill...not so much fun (especially because I was up so late watching the season/series finale of Lost...sigh). I used the online random number generator site and tried to copy the little box showing which number got drawn but due to my technological ineptitude it didn't work out so well. So, I can tell you the winning number but have no visual aid to support it. Drum roll please...
Comment Number 11 you are the winner of the day... Stacy Kraft wrote: I've only been to Disneyland once (as an adult) and I honestly can't say I have a favorite. The whole place is awe inspiring!! I guess I would have to say that "Disneyland" was my favorite ride! As for what I've been up to.....selling the last of our raffle tickets for our Relay For Life quilt. Woo-hoo!
So, Stacy, email me your information and I will mail you your pattern.
Thank you everyone for entering. If you are interested in purchasing this pattern it will be up on the website later this afternoon.
Blessings running on the treadmill...I might fit into my fav summer shorts after all giveaways...they're just plain and simple fun Monday
The "big day" is tomorrow so if you haven't put your 2cents worth in yet & you want a chance to be drawn for my new hearts pattern then comment today...before 12pm PST. Drawing is tomorrow. See you then!
I love the availability of things online...But all that accessibility makes me want for things like this super cool chalkboard...
And this metal wall basket for organizing all my papers, and sketches, and such...
This is good too...because it's a basket & it's metal...
And I still LOVE this...anybody have one they don't love that needs a new home? Ha Ha Ha!
I can just imagine all my ribbons & such on vintage bobbins decorating this bottle drying rack...yummy goodness. If you want more wonderful temptations visit here. They have many lovely things including all of the above dreamyness. Hope you're having a happy Friday.
Blessings online goodness vacation (it's been nice) going home...there's no place like it
Until next time,
Don't forget to leave a comment for the giveaway...

Can I just tell you that 5 days of Disneyland is about all I can stand? My tummy is no longer tickled by the thirteen story drop on the Hollywood Tower of Terror...my children can recite the Twilight Zone script for the ride (word for word). My fun meter is pegged. I can't breathe another breath of happy/magical air. I've bought enough $12 sodas to bankrupt the Rockafeller family. I've been splashed, haunted, and coastered to the max; which says alot because I absolutely, without a doubt LOVE roller coasters. I even rode It's A Small World...a personal form of torture and hell for me. Afterwards I went looking for a Small World t-shirt that I could embroider "I tolerated" onto but came up empty. Maybe I will design my own. Whew! Now that I've got that out of my system...we should have a giveaway for that pattern with the jar full of embroidered hearts I posted about way back before Mothers Day...you know this jar back here in this post... Entry is easy...just leave me a comment about what you've been up to, your personal favorite Disneyland ride, or why you want to stitch your own jar of hearts and I will enter you for a chance to win the pattern... Drawing will happen Monday May 24th. Entries will be accepted until 12pm PST Sunday May 23rd.
Blessings... family vacation new pattern give aways breathing regular old air
I should have posted this way back on Sunday night...but it was Mothers Day & I got busy with my Mom. Monday morning Mom, Little Miss Plumcute, and I went into Los Angeles to the mart. We had a blast & bought our fill of buttons, beads, baubles, fabric, & ribbon. It was girls day & super fun! Tuesday the family packed it up into the van and headed off to the happiest place on earth...where I have been for the last three days. Three days of happiness was about all I could do. I'm ready for some real world today. I did remember a camera & even took some pictures but I haven't processed any of them yet so that will come somethime in the not too distant future. In the mean time I need to do about a gazillion loads of laundry (funny, one would think that the magic kingdom could magically keep clothing clean but not so)...I guess I'm gonna get my real world one load at a time.
Blessings treasures from the mart...pics to come later Walt Disney and his vision of happiness laundry...I truly love the smell of freshly laundered clothes and right out of the dryer is the B E S T!
