This is not by choice mind you. There are three other Souzas that would gladly take my place if they could. But it's not up to them. Or me. If it were up to any of us I would not be his person.
So, against my wishes, I have a shadow. He maintains a distance of no more than 3 feet (unless forced to remain farther away). He must know where I am at all times...a direct line of site is his preference. If a direct line of site is not maintained, he whines. He will leave anyone else even if they have treats if I come in the room. It's annoying.
He has a misunderstanding of our relationship. He thinks his cute factor outweighs my love for fabric and independence. He is deluded. He made the mistake of trying to chew on a bolt of fabric last week and a piece of wool last night. He wont make either of those mistakes again. We are working on being out of sight of one another (for him...I have no problem with this concept).
All this to say...I am his person.
Until Next Time,
PS...I bought him a bed for my studio so he will remain in one place and in theory out from under my feet while I am trying to work...so far it has paid off except that I think he thinks it means I accept that I am his person...silly dog.
Carnage to date: 1 flip flop the edge of the wrapping on one bolt of fabric attempt to destroy 1 piece of Dorr wool 2 baseboards 1 SF Giants hat my freedom (this one hurts the most)
My daughter and I have a little saying, "It's a good day if we see a Fiat 500 and a great day if we see that plus a Vespa". We have a lot of good days and a handful of great days here in the land of Plumcute. But lately I find myself jonesing for Europe on most days: normal, good, or great.
But on a recent trip to a local tourist attraction I realized there's a little bit of "faux" Europe not too far from my home...
I just have to pay attention!
I am still in the midst of about 3000 new stitchery, wool, and quilting projects but sadly, none will behave for the camera. I will try again tomorrow when the light is better and maybe I'll get a few lucky shots!
Blessings Fiat 500's and Vespas "Faux" Europe 3000 projects (might be a slight exaggeration)
Come stitch with me...it will be super fun...I promise!!! I will have a trunk show of new designs & kits...there will be candy (probably even some of the chocolate variety)...and it's always just plain wonderful to sit & stitch with others! Plus, this project is so stinking quick you might even get it done before you go home at the end of the day...it could happen! Go sign up...you wont be sorry...
Here's a picture of one of the projects that has been on my work table...
It's just one of the many (MANY) little goodies I am trying to wrap up before I head out to Alden Lane Nursery at the end of the month. I have a whole series of ideas that could be finished this way. If only I had unlimited hours and the power to stop time and a stitching clone that didn't require sleep.
Blessings fun finishes up coming shows more projects than I can possibly finish in my lifetime
